My mum's xxth ( sensitive issue I totally understand this ) birthday in a summary. My family's a joke, I swear. The plan was to have everybody gathered and all ready ( with the food, cake, decorations and confetti poppers etc. ) at home at 11pm and my dad was supposed to bring my mum out and only to reach home at that timing too cause we all planned a mini birthday surprise for her. I, on the other hand, was still at work and reached home at 12.30 a.m. Apparently, the surprise went perfectly fine, according to my siblings ( proven with a video when my mum walked into the house and danced - i kid you not - with happiness ).
When my cab reached my place, I called my dad like any other night cause he'll usually fetch me from downstairs every night since I'm too scared to go up alone. Yeah, I'm gay. So when I called him, he said he was still on the way home and so I thought, "something's not right". I called home, nobody answered. My house was pitch-dark too when I looked up from downstairs. "Something's terribly not right", I thought again. Hesitantly, I went up alone ( the first time in a very long time ) and when I opened the door, they popped the confetti and balloons and went "SURPRISE!!" as if I'm the birthday girl. My mum and dad were laughing hysterically on the sofa. Very cute, you think? No. What else, I played along and acted as if I'm the birthday girl. Hahaha. My family's so lame beyond words and infinity.
Mission accomplished, my beloved mum felt really touched and jubilant. Glad everything went well and I ate a whole lot today. 3 pizzas in the office too. Well well, food makes me fat and happy. Gotta go now since I'm working OT tomorrow morning! The mask I'm wearing now is so rejuvenating.
Even though I know i don't look like it - more to looking as if I'm undergoing a fatal botox reaction on my face. Haha. Will update more, I promise. Good morning and I love you, Mother!
